Momma's 50th!

Ahh mom loved the flowers from Lowell and the hand made scarf from Iris! She said she liked the scarf because it matched the color of her glasses. Yesterday she told me how gorgeous the red and the pink roses were. They reminded her of the mothers day painting I gave her a few years ago. She asked me so many times to take this picture with her and her gifts.

In this photo we are at a church service at mom's new spiritual spot in Pittsburg. Our first pit stop for her 50th. Mom was definitely blessed and blinded by the light of God on her 50th birthday. This picture proves it! Or maybe mom was blinded by Scot's good looks..who knows??

And this is us at our second stop. Applebee's was amazing. I got a huge plate full of breakfast burritos AND pancakes! Ma got pancakes and eggs. Scot actually just said he wanted flower and water for breakfast...haha no he ate a pretty hefty portion of pancakes too! We talked a lot about the world and how power seems to be shifting between nations quite a bit.

hahaha...we told the server to take a picture of us and he took this fabulous picture of himself on accident. This gave us a wonderful 10 minute crack-up!
OUR ALL-AMERICAN MOM IN THE POOL AGAIN...WATCH OUT!
Ma also decided to go for a nice swim on her b-day! 30 minutes just doing lap after lap. It makes me exhausted and terrified just thinking about it. I can barely make it to the end and back! The text below is a link to the document showing mom was an All-American swimmer in 1987!
