Possibilities!

HAHAHAHA, That group picture with all the Monks/ Hare Kirshnas is the picture of the future people! HEhe momma, your comment was so hilarious! Hahaha, did you "know I would like that" momma? Hahaha!
In Nepal and India I am sure there is usually one boy of a buddhist family that will be a monk. Imagine every family having one son given to God. Sometimes at the age of 5 and 6 these children become monks and live in monasteries.
I have been really really busy! But I am doing well, living life, biking like a crazy woman! This saturday I am going to start working with the City Heroes program. The program teaches high school youth that they can make a difference in their communities and in the world. They learn about all different sorts of social justice issues, then plan ways to be apart of the solution. I will be leading a team through all sorts of workshops, overnights, service projects and who knows what! I am so excited! I wish I had this opportunity in high school.
I have been doing a lot of thinking about next year recently ever since someone posted that Findhorn thingy.
Findhorn college sounds amazing! I would be living in an ecovillage in Scotland learning all the most valuable things I want to learn in life! The website led me to another called livingroutes.org or something like that. It also has amazing study abroad programs that would include a similar or even more extensive curriculum than LeapNow.
I also found an opportunity to volunteer in an orphanage in Chile. I wouldn't have to pay anything...well room and board would be provided as long as I live in the orphanage. I would love to travel to south america and be apart and immersed in such a youthful culture.
And of course, I could go back to Nepal and help Maggie start a childrens home.
I will also be applying to a few colleges just well...because. I should be able to get a fee waiver.
Lots of options for this life full of infinite possibilities!
Momma, I got your package! Thank you for doing that! you should also be getting a package soon! ;)
Sierra, I would tell the girl that yes, it can be a sad experience but I didn't feel sad once when I was at the Childrens home. There were so many horrible stories of why they ended up at the orphanage and well I watched three kids be dropped off during my time there. There are a lot of things to be sad about, but when you are playing with these children and see their incredible smiles and laughter....There is nothing more joyful. All I did was bring more joy, tap into that joy and embrace that joy with them. It is better to go and be with those children and feel that joy with them, then speculate thousands of miles away about how sad you think they are.
I love you guys! Muah, Muah, Muah!

I seem unable to write a blog of my own. Mom has outwitted me once again --- even on computers nonetheless! Hah. I love you all and I hope you are all well.

Iris/Sierra, I have an opportunity to get a $30,000 loan. We don't necessarily need a non-profit before we start building orphanges/providing for the people. In fact, I think it would be better if we didn't incorporate until we have results. So --- to the point, in Nepal you could learn how to go about building one --- and I would help. Same for you in Africa Sierra. No rush, but this is an option. It would be easier to raise money once we have results. And if the results are good, that would help us build world-wide. In the end, it's only a matter of time. This will unite the family (ours and the worlds), and help turn dreams to reality.

In'sha ALLAH.

Be careful on your bike my daughter. Are you wearing your helmet? The hero program sounds great. To promote empowerment to young high school kids is a great thing. Positive action is a key to true happiness. I'm sure you will touch many lifes by your own example.
Hey Lowell, your effort to unite our family and the world is a great goal. I'm so proud how you want to create a better world. You've got the charisma and intelligence to do anything. It seems that you may have a hard time getting Sierra and Iris to stay on one continent for a long time. :) Did you hear what's happening to the woman in Congo? If you go on 60 minutes and watch the video it will motivate you even more.
Well, in sha allah, muah muah, love always,
Momma

glad to see comments lowell!! Your hilarious!

so your saying we take out the loan and build an orphanage with it? We'd do all this before starting the non-profit?

I'm thinking of traveling the world..and definitely volunteering in orphanages along the way...maybe learning a thing or two... first to s america for a few months, then africa for a few months, then nepal/india for a few months, then china and japan...whose with me for tis year long journey..haha.It's called an around the world ticket and people actually do this shit! I'd have to save up for a year and live at home, but how awesome does that sound!

Iris I'm so glad you liked that findhorn thing and got some good links to other stuff! I posted it b/c that girl I met who was all into the universe and following your heart met a yoga teacher who told her all about it...

You are so lucky for being able to make a positive difference like that! I'm jealous...

yes ma, have been reading abot the lady in the congo and how she had that baby in custody. That shit is scary!

where is jack???? Tell him to write! Tell him to connect with me...connect-i-o-n.... :)

Hey homie,

I read your email over again. Its funny how you get some realy important info as you read it a second time.

That's amazing that in nepal eac family gives one child to god and he becomes a monk!

That's crazy how many things you have to do this summer. You can work at an orphanage in chile, work in nepal, do that other program you found through findhorn...it's so hard to decide huh!

How are things going? including the heroes program??
