Picture from Routeburn 3 day Track
ahh I'm exhausted. I've been thinking all day about what my goals are while I'm in New Zealand. It's hard to travel b/c I don't have any money. But I can't just go to new zealand and only see nelson. Working in a hostel is not the best environment if you want to stay in one place b/c people are constantly coming from doing something new and exciting in New zealand. These are terms I hear constantly...
" Ohh, this is just like the Bay Area you have to go see New Zealand."
" Ahh, you have got to go kayaking at Abel Tasman! It's beautiful"
" I've just travelled all over the south island"
blah blah....
So anyway...it's late thats why I'm moody. I think the plan will be to get a job for a while then travel the last 2 weeks I'm here

View from Abel Tasman Coastal Track which takes 3-5 days
In 2 days: level 3-4 white water river rafting!
People rafting the buller river...I'm doing this exact section of the river on monday! Yikes...
another week: Mountain biking in Abel Tasman
Just before I leave: do the abel tasman Coastal Track (1 of the 9 "New Zealand Great walks")
then down to fiordland to do the Routeburn track another "NZ GREAT WALK" takes 3 days of hiking with some awesome scenery.
Then I'll do some surfing lessons at Mt. Maunganui on the North Island
- and finish up at wellington
how bot it iris??

Sounds groovy! You will see plenty of awesome scenery along the way to fiordland. I suggest, if you can to make it up north to a town a long 90 mile beach.
Abel Tasman will be so beautiful though! Hmmmm wowzers! I really wanna go back!
Hey Sierra I think you're so fortunate to be in New Zealand :)There are many people in this world who would think they landed in paradise living in a hostel in New Zealand.. Are you sure it's "just like the bay area?" I admire you for doing everything you can within your money constraints. You've got quite the itinerary....!!! Don't forget you're only almost a quarter of a century old and no doubt will be back to visit the big ZZZZZZ...
haha, thanks ma..I am only a quarter century old.
